Ideally located to get comfy in the Victorian bay windows and watch the ships sail by, you are just moments from the beach, harbour and the East and West piers. The apartment seeps up to four guests across two bedrooms has two bathrooms and an open plan living, kitchen and dining area, it’s the ideal place for making memories to last a lifetime.

The Space:
Surf & Sand is a carefully designed, first floor apartment, thought of with everything that you could need for a lavish self-catering staycation in Whitby. Ultra stylish and modern, it features an open plan kitchen, living and dining area where you can relax, socialise and get lost in the stunning sea views after your long days taking in the finest of what Whitby has to offer.

The apartment boasts two gorgeous bedrooms, each of them fitted with stylish king size beds. In the master bedroom you will find the coup de grace: an ensuite shower room, a large bay window with views of the sea and a flat screen TV. Similar in style, the second bedroom has premium soft furnishings, finished to the highest standard.

Featuring marble look tiles, a bathtub and a separate walk in shower, the bathroom at Surf & Sand is modern and stylish. A WC and basin complete the space to a comfortable finish.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

We provide a parking scratch card for your stay which gives you free parking in the W zones in Whitby. Additional free parking can be found nearby, and full details will be sent to you before check in.

Please note we do not accept bookings for stag / hen parties.

The Neighborhood:
Surf & Sand is located on the West Cliff just off the North Terrace so you can expect beautiful sea views. The Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade is just a short stroll from the apartment and on Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day.

The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around:
Surf & Sand is located in the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot.

Whitby train station is just a short 15-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
