In the village itself, you’ll find a food serving pub, village store, farm shop, Indian Restaurant and well equipped children’s playground all within a short walking distance. Less than 2 miles away is the neighbouring historic Roman town of Kirkham, which is home to larger shops and ample facilities. The incredibly popular Ribby Hall Village is a mere 5-minute drive, and here you can purchase day passes to visit their spa, leisure pools and even on-site zoo!
A 20-minute drive will take you to the seaside town of Lytham St Annes which is also home to many quaint boutiques, cafés and restaurants. It’s a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by and where you can enjoy a round of golf at the world famous Royal Lytham Golf Course or check out the huge sandy beach with colourful beach huts at St Annes. The glitz, glamour and razzamatazz of Blackpool is around a 20 minute drive as is Beacon Fell Country Park and Brock Bottoms for a change of scenery to something more rural.
The famous Guild Wheel walking/cycling route can be picked up nearby and there are lots of country walks and public footpaths in the local area to be enjoyed. The historic city of Lancaster can be reached in around 30 minutes. Further afield more stunning walks and rural landscapes can be found at the beautiful Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the breath taking Lake District National Park in around an hour.
