Initial logs for wood burner included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request.. Lawned garden with decking and garden furniture. Woodland and landscaped grounds (shared with other properties on-site). Private parking for 2 cars. Hot tub for 6 (private). No smoking. Please note: There is a fenced pond and stream in the grounds. There is a natural water supply.. Immediately outside the cottage is the spacious decking area to enjoy the most fabulous views and listen to the tranquility of the passing stream. The decking area is the perfect place to entertain or relax and provides a freshly filled and heated six-person hot tub (with light show feature) and garden furniture. The property is surrounded by lawned garden areas and an abundance of woodland and landscaped grounds (shared with other properties on-site). Private parking for 3 cars.
Downstairs the bright and spacious kitchen/dining area has a contemporary feel and joins into a comfortable living space with wood burner and 52" plasma TV with Sky sports and movie packages. The modern kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and hob, microwave and everything you need for cooking and dining. One of the two ground floor bedrooms can be set up as a twin bedroom or zip-and-linked to make a super kingsize bed, and the other is a single room. They share a shower room with walk-in shower.
Upstairs twin has its own en-suite toilet and wash basin. This room can accommodate an additional folding bed, suitable for an adult. Outside the upstairs twin bedroom is small outlook area where one can sit back and enjoy the views - maybe whilst relaxing with a good book or surfing the net.
Dalnaglar Castle Estate covers 200 acres and lies on the southern fringe of, and within viewing distance of the Cairngorms National Park. It’s perfectly located for a quiet romantic break, family holiday or something more adventurous. Located on a private estate, there are just five cottages and the castle, and it is 1½ miles from the main road. Explore the Cateran Trail, hit the slopes of Glenshee, enjoy a round of golf, visit many of the nearby popular tourist towns (including the Royals summer retreat at Balmoral), nip down to Persie Distillery for some gin tasting or simply sit back and relax whilst taking in the sumptuous countryside surroundings. There’s also a private loch on the estate which many guest have enjoyed and also used for paddle boarding.
For guests who love hillwalking or touring the estate is perfectly located for exploring the surrounding munro mountains or taking leisurely drives through rustic glens. Even though you’ll feel like you’re in a luxury haven a million miles away you can easily enjoy a day trip to cities such as Dundee which is only 30 miles away, Scotlands capital city Edinburgh (1.5 hours away) or Glasgow which is also only 1.5 hours away.
There really is something magical about this spectacular area where wild deer roam free, buzzards and eagles can be seen, and numerous other forms of wildlife are on your doorstep.
