Sleeping 6 guests, 1 Mackay Road is a fantastic dog-friendly property that’s ideal for anyone looking to enjoy a break in the coastal Highland town of Dornoch. Enjoy a break in a tranquil location on the edge of the town, yet still within easy walking distance of all its amenities and attractions.
On the ground floor of this detached holiday home, you’ll find lots of space to spend time together. An open-plan living, kitchen and dining room offers a comfortable lounge with two sofas, an armchair, and even a beanbag, as well as a smart TV with Freeview channels. The dining space contains a table to seat six for meals together.
Preparing those meals couldn’t be easier, with the fully fitted kitchen well-equipped for everything you’ll need on a self-catering holiday. Make use of an electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and plenty of kitchenware for preparing and serving food, with a dishwasher to make cleaning up afterwards no trouble at all.
Additional conveniences on this floor include a utility room with a washing machine, clothes airer, and iron and ironing board, a garage with storage space for outdoor equipment including golf clubs (as well as a treadmill), and a cloakroom with WC.
Up on the first floor you’ll find the property’s welcoming bedrooms, which include two double bedrooms – one of which has its own en-suite shower room – and a twin bedroom with two single beds. Each bedroom comes with storage space for clothing, as well as bedside units with lighting. There’s also a family bathroom including a shower over the bath.
Enjoy warm days out in the property’s private back garden, with a lawn and paved area. Out here you’ll find a summerhouse, a shed, and a washing line.
1 Mackay Road is perfect for a Highland holiday in the lovely town of Dornoch, with amenities within walking distance including the town centre 10 minutes away, and the beach and Royal Dornoch golf club around 15 minutes’ stroll. You can also head out and explore the surrounding Sutherland landscape.
