Located along a rough track yet within easy reach of Glasgow, 25 miles north, and minutes from the M74 motorway, this beautiful home is the perfect base for groups and families. Comfortably sleeping six adults with three bedrooms, the property is designed around modern living with plenty of gorgeous features to enjoy. You might find yourself sitting around the large dining table in the kitchen, enjoying a home cooked meal, or wandering the hallway with its galleried landing. The kitchen is well-equipped with an American style fridge/freezer, providing ice and cold water, and a range of appliances including a coffee maker.
Flexibility is offered as the ground floor bedroom has a zip and link bed and can be either a super kingsize or twin beds, ideally located next to the downstairs family bathroom. Both double rooms on the first floor have en-suite shower rooms with walk-in showers and the views are simply stunning. Oakhill Cottage benefits from an enclosed garden, perfect for families with a small toddler or children, however, due to the farm animals in the surrounding fields, pets are not allowed.
As the property is in a fairly rural location, on the outskirts of the town of Strathaven, you can take advantage of the walks around the nearby rivers and surrounding countryside, but do not forget the range of things to do in Strathaven itself and throughout Lanarkshire and west central Scotland!
