Lovely estuary views from one of the bedrooms, and the living area and kitchen means that even on a dull day you can sit and soak up ambience. The sunny rear garden is ideal for a lazy breakfast overlooking the estuary while your plan your day. On the doorstep there is plenty to see and do with the famous Tarka Trail passing close by for walking or cycling, or why not stroll around the many delightful shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants that Bideford has to offer, with its regular pannier and water front markets, all within a 10-minute walk of the property.
Take a boat trip to the nature reserve at Lundy Island or explore many pretty fishing villages including nearby Clovelly and Appledore which is one of the oldest and prettiest villages in North Devon with its myriad of narrow streets, quaint cottages, pubs, restaurants, craft shops, art galleries and the bustling quayside. Instow is just 3 miles and is a pretty, unspoilt, seaside village with large stretches of sandy beaches and dunes, fishermen’s cottages, shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants specialising in locally caught seafood. The wide golden sandy beach of Westward Ho! popular with surfers, is just 3 miles with Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe all close by. RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Docton Mill and Hartland Abbey are well worth a visit. The area is a must for water sports, sailing enthusiasts, surfers and fishermen. Young and old will enjoy crabbing off the quay at Appledore and golf and riding is available locally. For family fun, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way Adventure Park, Ultimate Adventure Centre and North Devon Wakepark for water sports fun are close by. Golf, Mountain boarding, karting, and high ropes are available locally and the wild beauty of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moors are all within easy driving distance, as is the famous Eden Project.
