No smoking.. This duplex apartment is ideal for families and is only a stone’s throw from the beach and many upmarket wine bars, eateries, cafés and shops in this popular seaside town. The fantastic beaches, popular with surfers and holidaymakers, are also just a short walk away, and the hidden fish restaurants along the beach are a delight. You can walk along to North Shields, home to the Tall Ships Race and bustling working harbour full of restaurants, or in the other direction to Whitley Bay, where the beautiful dining and leisure centre, Spanish City, has been fully regenerated and has a relaxing champagne bar and events. The promenade area that stretches along this bit of coastline has been totally modernised. With plenty of places to stop off for a coffee or a gin and tonic, this is a gorgeous place to stroll along in the evening, whatever the weather. Dating back centuries and perched on a cliff, Tynemouth Priory and Castle which can be seen from further afield, hosts musical events and plays during the year.
Only a few hundred yards away is the restored Metro Station, nicknamed the ‘Covent Garden of the North’, which is home to a very interesting weekend indoor market, popular with all ages. You can hop on a metro train here to Newcastle, take in the quayside, visit a theatre, gallery and museum, or enjoy the history and shopping. Tynemouth is close to a great road network which will take you in every direction over to Hadrian’s Wall in the west of the county, or north up the stunning Heritage coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where there are further golden sands and castles to explore. Visitors to Tynemouth Haven, who enjoy the social scene, will be delighted with the location of the property which is close to all the amenities in a great part of the town. Beach 750 yards.
