Town: Amble, a lively small seaport at the mouth of the River Coquet, is a great starting point for exploring Northumberland. Amble, once a boatbuilding centre, now has a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches, and coastal hikes to Hauxley Bird Sanctuary and Druridge Bay Country Park. Fish, prawns, crabs, and lobsters are landed by large fishing boats moored along the harbour wall. On the other side of the port, there is a fish facility that sells local fish to the public.
Located in Morpeth, this cottage is in a rural area and on the beach. Warkworth Castle and Alnwick Castle are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Warkworth Golf Course and Alnmouth Village Golf Club. Lilidorei at The Alnwick Garden and Eshott Heugh Animal Park are also worth visiting. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling, hiking, and rock climbing nearby.
