As the name suggests, this quirky terraced cottage is full of character and set over three floors. Offering traditional fixtures entwined with modern fittings, wooden beams, cosy romantic nooks and a wood burner. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac which is accessed by an incline, Parky Mews is set off a quaint cobbled street just a stone’s throw from the heart of the historic market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire. Full of character throughout, the cottage has been tastefully decorated to provide modern comfort whilst retaining the charm of the traditional pre-1800 building. Step inside to find a welcoming wood burner which is perfect on a winter’s night, as well as a lovely space with slate floor, comfy sofa and a cosy dining table for two. A well-equipped shaker style kitchen with attractive tiles and modern appliances complete this floor. Climb the staircase and find another lounge area, a great place to relax and unwind with its beams and shuttered window, comfortable sofa, Smart TV with an Amazon Fire TV stick and bluetooth music speaker for your comfort and enjoyment. On the second floor is the master bedroom with wooden floors, traditional pine furniture, shuttered window, a comfortable double bed with attractive bed linen and a television make this a wonderful romantic retreat. There is a small patio garden with a seating area to relax and enjoy an early breakfast tea, or perhaps something chilled.
A short walk around the corner takes guests into the lovely old town centre with a huge cobbled town square surrounded by shops, pubs, cafés, tearooms, restaurants and Richmond Castle. Walk down the hill and you will find a beautiful riverside walk, taking in the falls and parkland. Follow the pathway to Richmond Bridge and you will come to The Station with its host of attractions including a three-screen cinema, coffee shop, an award-winning bakery/delicatessen, micro-brewery and an ice cream parlour. On the same site there is an indoor swimming pool and health club. Richmond has everything to offer, whether you are the outdoor enthusiast looking for beautiful walks and cycle routes, or a culture seeker hunting for historic buildings, museums and monuments. A beautiful large cobbled market place is the centrepiece for a variety of interesting shops, pubs and fine restaurants to suit all palates.
