Situated in the grounds of the owner’s country pub in the Teign Valley near to Chudleigh, this terraced cottage is perfect for a family holiday or friends to get together. The property has been decorated and furnished to a good standard, and there is small courtyard area with a table and chairs. The Teign Valley is the gateway to the Dartmoor National Park and is perhaps the most dramatically steep and consistently wooded valley in Devon. Its steep, deep, narrow valley, woodlands and nearby Dartmoor are inspiring. This is a landscape with high levels of tranquillity and dark night skies.
Close by is England’s highest manmade waterfall, Canonteign Falls. This magnificent Victorian folly conjures up a magical natural paradise. The waterfalls themselves descend for over 75 yards. This is a wonderful day out for all the family and is one of the most breathtaking attractions in Devon.
There are so many places to visit including Chudleigh, 2½ miles away, with its independent shops and the market town of Newton Abbot, Plymouth and Exeter are a mere 30 minutes away. Take a trip to Haldon where there are many walks and off road cycle paths and for the more adventurous, there is GoApe, with zip wires through the trees or there are many walks you can take from the front door of The Nest. There are also lots of National Trust properties all waiting to be discovered. Beach 12 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
