Cascadden is a gorgeous detached, two storey barn conversion in a peaceful hamlet, ideally located for exploring the tranquil sailing coves and creeks of the south coast and equal distance to the rugged wide surfing beaches on the north coast. Trewithen Moor is a cluster of cottages and barns close to the village of Stithians where you will find two excellent pubs, one reached by a footpath across the fields from the cottage, serving great food and local ales. There are a number of footpaths and bridle paths ideal for dog walking surround the property, making it ideal if you do not wish to drive. At Stithians Lake and Water Sports Centre guests can enjoy canoeing, sailing, wind surfing or a relaxing cream tea at the lakeside café. Cascadden will appeal to families or friends looking for a peaceful location providing excellent outside al fresco dining facilities, ideal for returning to unwind after a busy day exploring the coastline or participating in water sports. The busy port of Falmouth has an all year round calendar of events including prestigious sailing, music and food festivals.
The barn is centrally situated with Porthtowan only 20 minutes away and in just 30 minutes you can reach the busy port and prestigious marinas of Falmouth, the cathedral city of Truro where you will find a cinema, theatre and great shopping. Or head over to the north coast including the great family friendly beach at Portreath and Porthtowan with a bar and great local beach café. Gwithian and Godrevy with the lighthouse perched on its rocky outcrop, and the picturesque harbour and beaches at St Ives are well worth a visit. There are numerous National Trust properties and sub tropical gardens including Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissike to visit. Head towards the north coast to Tehidy Country Park with miles of woodland walks, bridal paths and golf course. The area has a famous cycle trail running from Devoran on the south coast across to Portreath on the north coast and bike hire is available. You may like to try your skills at surfing and there is local tuition available. The area is popular all year round attracting traditional summer family holidays and equally appealing to couples looking for a quieter low season break to walk along peaceful sandy beaches. Beach 8 miles. Shop 1½ miles, pub and restaurant 1¾ miles.
