Carbis Bay Beach is in the wider St Ives Bay on the north coast of Cornwall. It is privately owned and managed by Carbis Bay Hotel Ltd and is fully open to the public year-round, being a golden sandy beach, approximately one kilometre wide, backed by cliff and sand dunes. It is at the foot of a wooded river valley. The Bay is usually sheltered, making it an ideal family destination and a safe environment for water wellbeing activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding. It is very popular with locals and visitors alike. This coastal habitat has a wealth of marine life – for example seals, occasional dolphins, birds, spider crabs, amongst others. Carbis Bay Hotel provides all the beach facilities, maintaining beach access, washrooms, food and drink outlets, emergency communication and has a duty of care towards maintenance of the beach and surrounding area and health and safety issues
