Alternatively, you’ll soon meet a friendly local who’ll be happy to take you out on a boat trip and bike hire can be arranged to the doorstep, so it’s easy to discover the surrounding area including the superb greenway route from Achill to Westport. Curraun Hill, which overlooks the front of this Achill cottage, also provides hikers with a picturesque route with breathtaking views your reward at the summit. Alternatively, travel to Mulranny and Newport and view the unique islands in Clew Bay, the perfect place to enjoy the sunset.
