The Wildgoose is perfect for the Millennium Coastal Path, which runs past the door, and can be explored by foot or bicycle (hire available locally) and onto the harbour town of Burry Port and Pembrey. The 22 kilometres of sublime coastline is wonderful for exploring with your family and offers an array of wildlife habitats, activities and picture postcard views.

At the heart of the Millennium Coastal Park stands the iconic Discovery Centre, where you can find out all about the vast array of leisure activities throughout Carmarthenshire in one fantastic location. The centre is perched overlooking Llanelli beach and offers panoramic views over the Loughor Estuary, Worms Head and the Gower Peninsula.

For keen golfers, the Machynys Peninsula Golf Club and Spa, a Jack Nicklaus designed course, is only 300 yards away, with fantastic dining available overlooking the greens. Take a trip to Llanelli Wetland Centre, here you can hand feed the rarest goose in the world, spot some colourful flamingos or enjoy bird watching from one of the many hides. In the evening, take a walk to the nearby restaurant which specialises in local produce and is great to celebrate that special occasion. Beach 50 yards. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
