Pembrokeshire Coast. Sleeps up to 8

Wiseman's Bridge BeachWiseman's Bridge Beach - pet friendly all year round - was the scene for rehearsals for the 'D Day' Landings and is an ideal family playground with rocks to clamber over and pools left by the receding tide to fish in. The remains of a 5000 year old forest can still be found in the stream that flows down to the sea. Pembrokeshire Coastal PathThe Pembrokeshire Coastal Path (part of the All Wales Path) runs through the Bay with its glorious walking and South Pembrokeshire's beautiful beaches are all nearby - Saundersfoot, Amroth and the Jewel of Pembrokeshire, Georgian Tenby. The Wiseman's Bridge DramwayWiseman's Bridge is linked to Saundersfoot by an old 'dramway' once used to carry coal to Saundersfoot Harbour. Recently resurfaced this is an ideal off road cycle route that passes through 3 old railway tunnels and also heads inland through Pleasant Valley. Saundersfoot VillagePretty, bustling Saundersfoot has 3 lovely beaches, harbour, shops, pubs, gallery, a wonderful old fashioned sweet shop, 'Chobbles', good sea food restaurants, and gifts shops including 'Walk on Water' for leisure wear and souvenirs. Amroth and Pembrokeshire Coast PathAmroth, the start (or end) of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, is a small seaside village with a beach (lots of Blue Flag awards), popular with families, that stretches the whole length of the village. It can be reached along the beach at low tide, passing old coal and iron workings, or on the cliff-top coast path which is also a cycle route. Occasionally, when there is a very low tide, ancient tree stumps can be seen poking through the sand. Amroth has a selection of places to eat as well as three pubs - the furthest marking the Pembrokeshire/Carmarthenshire border. Colby Gardens (NT)Away from the sea Colby Gardens (NT) is in a tranquil, secluded valley. This beautiful woodland garden has a fantastic collection of rhododendrons and peaceful woodland walks. The Bothy Tea Room and Restaurant serves mouth-watering home made food and the National Trust Gift Shop with Gallery has lots of Pembrokeshire arts and crafts for sale. Salt Cellar Restaurant, Bar and Terrace, TenbyLocated on the lower ground floor of the Atlantic Hotel on The Esplanade overlooking Tenby's South Beach the Salt Cellar is an award winning coastal restaurant, bar and terrace run by a bunch of talented friends for you and your friends and family to enjoy. Their motto is “Great food, Great service, Great Times! Tasty food and friendly service is at the heart of our restaurant”. Caldey Island Boat TripsBoat trips leave regularly from Tenby Harbour to visit the tranquil island of Caldey just a few miles off shore. Enjoy the glorious sandy beach, quiet country lanes and browsing the island's shop for chocolate, perfume and shortbread made by the resident Cistercian monks. Caldey Priory is a Grade I listed building. Family FunOakwood theme park, the Blue Lagoon waterpark, multi award winning Folly Farm, the Manor Wildlife Park, Dinosaur Park, Tudor Merchant's House Tenby (NT), Carew Karting and The Overhang climbing wall are just some of the quality family attractions in south Pembrokeshire. Day TripsBritain's smallest city of St Davids in the north of the county, with its characterful streets full of independent boutiques, galleries, cafes, pubs and restaurants and a magnificent Cathedral is well worth a visit. Combined with a few hours on Whitesands Beach 1.5 miles further on makes for a perfect day out. The Preseli HillsExplore the wild interior of Pembrokeshire. At 536 metres above sea level this is the highest landscape in the county and offers breath taking walks, stunning views, ancient relics, remote homesteads, micro breweries, lots of sheep and refreshments in the community owned historic Tafarn Sinc in the village of Rosebush. Characterful bungalow in an enviable coastal location for fulfilling holidays in south Pembrokeshire at any time of the year.
