Heading west along the coast is Looe, a popular fishing village with a sandy beach, pubs, cafes and shops. Here, you can also fish, go crabbing or take a boat trip from the quay. Enjoy a traditional Cornish cream tea overlooking the sea at Talland Bay or explore Polperro, with its narrow streets and pretty cottages nestling around the harbour. East from Downderry is the coastal road to Rame Head with spectacular views overlooking Whitsand Bay, a 5-mile stretch of sand and rocks. Beach ¼ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
