Bustling Newquay is close by with several excellent restaurants and café bars, or enjoy a superb walk along the picturesque coastal path. Newquay, home to some of the best surfing beaches in Europe, has many surf schools, a working harbour, tropical gardens, Sealife Centre, zoo, two leisure centres, horse riding, cycle hire and so much more. Other attractions within the area include fishing trips, go karting, Creally Adventure Park, Dairyland, The Japanese Garden and Bonsai Nursery, and Trerice Manor (NT).
The whole coastline is dotted with beaches and fishing villages from St Agnes in the south, to Padstow in the north with its fine dining and many excellent restaurants, including those of the TV chef Rick Stein. Padstow is a must, it provides a day and evening out for the whole family. Wander the narrow streets and enjoy the evening by the working harbour, or hire a bike and cycle along the famous Camel Trail, a flat off-road trail that hugs the shore of the estuary. Watergate Bay, 2 miles, plays host to Jamie Oliver’s restaurant, Fifteen. Take advantage of the wide beach which is home to an approved British kitesurfing Association school. Truro, Fowey, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are all easily reached from this perfectly positioned holiday property. Golf is available within walking distance. Beach 200 yards. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
