Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. Exmouth, Devon’s oldest seaside resort, has a busy little harbour to the west and high red cliffs with coastal paths to the east. Situated in a quiet residential area, this lovely detached holiday house offers an excellent base for a family holiday or for friends to get together. There is an enclosed courtyard garden, ideal for al fresco dining. Exmouth’s main attraction is the two miles of beach, and there is also the Exe Estuary, home to numerous species of wildlife and a favourite for birdwatchers. There are walks close by, including the Jurassic Coast with stunning views. From the coastal path, you can experience sheer cliff faces and strangely eroded rock formations. Exmouth is the place for water sports, and nearby Crealy Park is a great day out for the family. Exeter is a short train ride along the estuary with cathedral and shops, or you can take a trip to Dartmoor, where you will find heather-clad tors and Dartmoor ponies. Take a ferry to Starcross and stroll to Powderham Castle. Stop off at Beer, with caves and a beach; visit Branscombe and Sidmouth with shopping and promenade; or visit Seaton, where you can take a tram ride through the countryside. Close by, there are afternoon river cruises on the Exe Estuary with views of Starcross, Powderham Castle, Topsham, Lympstone and the wildlife, or take a visit to ‘World of Country Life’. Sidmouth’s 18-hole golf course is close by. There are also many National Trust properties close by. Try to get a visit to A la Ronde. Beach just over 1 mile. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 400 yards.
