The area is popular for sailing as well as other water sports. Enjoy a barbecue by the beach whilst taking in one of the breathtaking sunsets and great views of the Solent. There are local pubs and restaurants overlooking the esplanade where you can watch all the yachting regattas or listen to some of the live music events. Available all year round, your holiday home nestles in a quiet countryside setting near the sea, complete with a nature trail, woodland lake and plenty of quiet spots to sit and relax, but be sure to look out for the native red squirrels running through the woods.
Major attractions on the Isle of Wight are in plentiful supply with something sure to suit everyone. For history and culture you could visit Queen Victoria’s former residence at Osborne House or take a tour of Carisbrooke Castle. The Needles rocks and lighthouse are possibly the most recognised landmark and have plenty to keep your family occupied. Alternatively keep your children entertained at one of the fun parks including Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill, both easily reached by car or public transport. The properties at Gurnard Pines are not only ideally located to explore all of the many attractions the Isle of Wight has to offer, but they are also great to come home to as well. Guests can take advantage of the leisure suite, tennis courts, indoor swimming pool and Monkey Mansion - a large indoor soft play area for children between 3-12 years at the on-site Cowes Club (at cost) with a choice of quality leisure facilities and activities for all ages to enjoy all year round. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant on site.
