Moss Cottage is situated in the heart of the coastal town of Burry Port, on the doorstep of the Millennium Coastal footpath that meanders through the stunning scenery of Llanelli through to the historic town of Kidwelly. Lovingly restored by the owners who live next door, this terraced cottage has retained all of the property’s original charm and character, with an open plan living/dining room complete with a focal inglenook fireplace and a great sociable kitchen/breakfast room. On the first floor, the character continues with original stripped back floor boards and a restored feature fireplace within the master bedroom. Make the most of the balmy summer days with a BBQ on the enclosed courtyard, while a few steps further away there is a lawned garden to enjoy.
With the beautiful Gower to the east and Pembrokeshire to the west, Moss Cottage is perfectly positioned to explore south and west Wales, but there is also so much to discover within Carmarthenshire. It has it all - castles, gardens, beaches, unique towns, varied landscapes and an overwhelming choice of activities. Enjoy a plethora of traditional Welsh pubs specialising in organic and home cooked food. 6 miles away is Pembrey Country Park and beach, with 550 acres of woodland, Segway and cycle hire, pitch and putt, nature trails, a dry ski slope and the longest toboggan run in Wales. Explore the history of the area and visit Kidwelly Castle, Laugharne Castle and Dylan Thomas Boat House. The National Botanic Garden of Wales, with a huge glass dome, is perfect for a day out whatever the weather, or discover a wide range of wildlife at the Llanelli Wetland Centre. One of the oldest towns, Carmarthen, is easily accessible by car, and horse racing enthusiasts will appreciate the close proximity to Ffos Las Racecourse. The picturesque Brecon Beacons National Park is under an hour away. Beach 300 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 20 yards.
