This charming detached cottage is delightfully positioned in the quaint hamlet of Kirkton of Kingoldrum, just 5 miles from Kirriemuir. Pretty borders of shrubs and flowers back onto the Cromie Burn and a large rear sunny patio is accessed from an attractive conservatory, a lovely place to sit in both summer and winter. The property is a brilliant base for enjoying a wealth of nearby activities. Kirriemuir is famous for being the birthplace of the creator of Peter Pan, J M Barrie, and a statue of Peter Pan can be found in the main square. Explore its winding streets and cobbled lanes which house many interesting shops and eating places. Pay a visit to the Kirriemuir Camera Obscura, which offers fine views over the surrounding countryside. Wildlife is plentiful in this area, with several nature reserves close by including the Loch of Kinnordy which is home to a large variety of wetland birds which can be viewed from hides and boardwalks. Some excellent hillwalking routes can be found in the renowned Angus Glens or for a complete contrast of scenery, take a stroll along some of the fine sandy beaches at Carnoustie, Lunan Bay and Arbroath. There is plenty to do in the lively city of Dundee, 24 miles, which is to be home to an array of theatres, shops, eating places and the Discovery Point where you can follow in the footsteps of Captain Scott and Ernest Shackleton aboard the Royal Research Ship Discovery. Beach 24 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
