Gloriously situated on the clifftop, looking down onto the pretty harbour in the tiny village of St Abbs, this very comfortable semi-detached cottage has sea views from every window. The garden opens directly onto the Berwickshire Coastal Path and St Abbs Nature Reserve, with large colonies of kittiwakes, gulls, fulmars and some puffins. Coldingham, 2 miles away has a couple of pubs serving food, local shops and a sheltered sandy beach with a diving centre. The clear waters of the coast are exceptional and ideal for recreational diving, good too for sea angling and boat trips. Bamburgh Castle, the Farne Island and Holy Island, with its flooding causeway, castle and priory, are all just a short drive away. Visit historic houses at Paxton and Manderston, or further down the coast to Alnwick Castle and Gardens. Edinburgh is an easy day away and you can get there in under an hour using the train from Berwick. Beach 950 yards. Shop 150 yards, pub and restaurant 1¾ miles.
