This comfortable end terrace holiday home is just a short stroll from the town centre of this friendly fishing town. Reputedly Amble has the friendliest port with a working harbour, along with its marina and nearby beach. With two bathrooms Number 8 is an ideal holiday home for families or friends staying together. Amble has some lovely little restaurants and eating places, with an award winning ice cream shop and two fish and chip shops by the harbour. The small pod style shopping area has proved popular with visitors and locals alike, and is set next to the extremely popular Sunday market and lobster hatchery.
From the harbour, boat trips are available to Coquet Island to see the RSPB bird sanctuary. Only 2 miles away is the historic village of Warkworth with its hillside castle, pubs, bespoke shops and pretty riverside for walks. Locals love to walk from Amble to Warkworth and admire the river view and castle on the way. A few miles further along is the ducal town of Alnwick with its famous castle featured in Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. The Duchess’ water gardens with spectacular grand cascade, and the world’s largest treehouse restaurant, should not be missed. Amble is situated on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage coastline, with some of the most unspoilt beaches and picturesque coastline in England, with plenty of foot and cycle paths to enjoy. Amble is a great location for exploring the whole of this unspoilt county, with all the amenities you need on your doorstep, or leave your car behind and have an evening out at one of the local eateries. Beach ¾ mile. Shop and restaurant 600 yards, pub 500 yards.
