Millside is set in the centre of the pretty, historic market town of Morpeth, close to the river and just behind the high street. This semi-detached house is ideally located to enjoy the many cafes, restaurants and pubs practically on your doorstep, whilst leaving your cars in the private parking area in front of the property. Morpeth is a lively historic town with some excellent eateries and bespoke shops, and a weekly market held in the market square. The Chantry houses the excellent Bagpipe Museum, tourist information and unique craft stalls. Boats can be hired to row along the pretty river which runs through the town, or take a gentle river walk.
Only a short drive is the Heritage Coast where miles of golden beaches and friendly villages appeal to all ages. Stop off at Craster for famous kippers, drop into Bamburgh Castle and carry on a little further to Holy Island. The nearby train station is perfect to take you to Newcastle, Durham, Edinburgh or York should you wish to explore further. All of these fantastic cities are worth a visit whilst staying in Northumberland. This is a fantastic, central location to explore the many delights of what is reputedly the friendliest county in England. Easy road access for Hadrian’s Wall, the Heritage Coast and the Northumberland National Park. Newcastle, 15 miles, Alnwick Castle, 20 miles, Hadrian’s Wall (Vindolanda), 37 miles, and Kielder Water, 45 miles. Beach 8 miles. Shop 250 yards, pub and restaurant 175 yards.
