Situated on the edge of Kendal, a historic market town famous for its mint cake, the location is perfect to tour the Lake District (Windermere 9 miles) and Yorkshire Dales (Sedbergh 9 miles). Water sports or cruises on the lakes, mountain climbing in the Langdales and coastal walks on the Cumbrian Coastal Way are just a few of the many activities to be enjoyed in the area. There is a plethora of historic houses and gardens with Sizergh Castle, Levens Hall and Cartmel 12th-century priory all a short drive away. Shops 1 mile, pub 500 yards.
