Ale Cottage, Ireby

Lake District. Sleeps up to 4

This charming cottage is situated in the small village of Ireby in Northern Lakeland, with excellent views down and across the Eden Valley and is just 12 miles North of the very popular town of Keswick.

The cottage has retained some of its original character with exposed beams in the lounge, kitchen and twin bedroom and latched doors throughout. The accommodation is comfortably furnished to give it a cosy feel and is extremely well equipped.

Situated just North of Skiddaw, Ireby is an excellent centre for touring and walking throughout the Northern Lakes yet is relatively unspoilt and provides a haven from the hustle and bustle of the busier parts of the Lake District. Ambleside and Windermere are however still within easy reach.

Access to the cottage is on the first floor via a set of external steps through to a hall area into the lounge (with French doors to the balcony). A twin bedroom with adjacent bathroom having shower over bath, toilet and basin and dining kitchen are also on this floor. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom which has a recently refurbished en suite shower, toilet and basin and illuminated mirror.

Solid fuel stove in lounge area and storage heaters throughout - all fuel and power is included. A cot, high chair and stair gate are available on request. The lounge has a Flat Screen Television with Sky Freesat and DVD Home Cinema System, Stereo System with CD player and i-Pod dock and a DAB radio. The Dining Kitchen has oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, slow cooker, fridge (with ice box), dishwasher and i-Pod docking station. Shaver points and heated towel rails in the bathrooms. The double bedroom has a Flat Screen Television and DVD Player. Bed linen and towels are included. A washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and wash down area can be found in the garage along with a barbecue (with utensils), two mountain bikes and a set of golf clubs which can be used by guests at their own risk. Garden with patio furniture. The garage is large enough for 1 small car or motorbike(s) and/or trailer with parking outside for 2 cars. Pets are welcome by arrangement please. Note: This is a non smoking cottage

The Lion Pub is situated in the centre of the village and serves a selection of beers and home cooked food (on selected evenings). The farm in the village sells milk, eggs and seasonable vegetables. N.B. June 2 - June 9 at this cottage is Mid Season Price Visitbritain 4* Gold
