Alternatively take a picnic to Benningborough Hall or Fountains Abbey, both National Trust and approximately 15 miles away. The spa town of Harrogate is a short drive and boasts a wide selection of individual shops, pubs and restaurants - with afternoon tea at Betty’s a must do. For that special occasion, book a meal at Goldsborough Hall, once home to Princess Mary and now a luxury hotel and restaurant. Pub 300 yards.
