Situated in open countryside, with glorious views over the Pennine hills, the area is ideal for walking, cycling and exploring both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Parks. Traditionally furnished with a homely feel, the cottage has an open plan living area with characterful beams and a cosy woodburning stove set in a feature stone fireplace. A lovely, light and sunny conservatory leads off from here, while the two bedrooms take in fine views over moorland and fields. The small rear garden is accessed via the conservatory and the perfect spot to relax in the sunshine and plan your day. The surrounding area is a walkerÂ’s heaven, with numerous trails and footpaths straight from the door and cyclists will enjoy the challenging terrain. Just three miles away, the village of Brough caters for everyday needs, with a market square, castle ruins and selection of pubs and shops, while nearby Appleby is picturesque and offers riverside walks, independent shops and is known for its annual horse fair. Guests will enjoy driving through beautiful scenery to visit the Bowes Museum with its stunning exhibits, or take a trip up the Tees Valley to High Force and Cauldron Snout waterfalls. Alternatively, drive twenty miles south to Wensleydale and visit the creamery and water mill in Hawes. A superbly placed cottage to explore the upland fells of England.
