The Old Vicarage, Torquay

Devon. Sleeps up to 4

The Old Vicarage is an imposing 19th century vicarage, built of local sandstone and set in a peaceful location between the picturesque thatched village of Cockington (listed in the Doomsday Book) and the splendid Victorian villas of Chelston, which lead down to the Torbay seafront.? The Old Vicarage originally served the parishes of Cockington Manor and Chelston and is a short walk away from Cockington Country Park with its craft shops and tea rooms.? Local shops are a 5 minute walk away and the seafront is 15 minutes. The two bedroom cottage is the former Housekeeper's quarters within the Old Vicarage and has its own entrance, garden and off street parking for up to 3 vehicles. The accommodation has recently been completely refurbished and has quality light oak furniture throughout, giving the property a subtle blend of contemporary, luxurious living within a Victorian property. There is also wooden patio furniture and a barbeque. Cockington Court is nearby, offering the chance to watch craft demonstrations within the grounds of the historic manor house.? The grounds are also home to an organic kitchen garden, licensed restaurant offering the best of local fayre, and the Ark Play area offering safe play conditions for children. Visitors can also act like lord of the manor by taking a trip around the grounds in a horse drawn carriage. Torquay seafront is within a 15 minute walk and the shops, restaurants and attractions of the town centre are a further 10 minute walk away. This property especially welcomes families. There is a cot and highchair for younger guests, plus buckets, spades, toy cars, scooters and small bikes for children.
