Portland Harbour, which was the venue for the 2012 Sailing Olympics, is excellent for sailing, kite and wind surfing, offering world class facilities. Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy is approximately 5 minutes drive. The rugged Isle of Portland is rich with birdlife and fossils and a good area for sea fishing off Chesil Beach. The World Heritage status Jurassic coastline stretches east and west from Weymouth with pretty villages and awe inspiring views along the way. The South West Coastal Path also passes around the coast of Wyke Regis providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy walking surrounded by outstanding sea and country views.
