Gamekeeper's Hide is a well presented and sought after cottage; located on the Colmer Country Estate in the heart of the beautiful South Hams in Devon. The estate is a collection of individually owned properties set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Idyllic South Hams. Within the estate’s 28 acres, you’ll find plenty to explore. Meadowland, woods and wetlands, offer an endless variety of walks and quiet spots to enjoy a picnic. There is even a log cabin with a games room. The estate is also home to a plethora of wildlife - badgers, foxes, rabbits and deer. The cottages front entrance leads into an open plan lounge with dining area and fitted kitchen. Upstairs is a double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom. Brightly furnished throughout, the cottage has a light, modern feel. Outside is a gated, sheltered patio with table, chairs, sun loungers and a barbeque. The sunny walled garden is close by with a children’s play area, boules pitch and games room.? Just a short walk away you will find the awarding winning California Country Inn. Close to hand there are also excellent places to eat in the pubs at Avonwick. Gamekeeper’s Hide is brilliantly located for ease of access to Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Dartmouth, Totnes and Plymouth, and it is surrounded by picturesque villages and unspoilt countryside. Dartmoor and Torbay are also within easy reach. All visitors have free access to the wonderful facilities that are available on the Colmer Estate, including a heated indoor pool, fitness suite (over 16s only), outdoor pool (May to September), a fishing lake well stocked with carp, golden rudd and trout*, an adventure play area, tennis court and laundry room. * A fishing licence is available from any Post Office - however children under 14 can fish without a licence.
