Situated near the Howardian Hills National Landscape and the North York Moors, it's a perfect base for couples seeking a rural and relaxing retreat with a furry companion or two. Step into your new home away from home to find a pleasantly-decorated sitting room with plush sofas to cuddle up on as you watch TV or lose yourself in a book from the library's collection. Moving further into the property, you'll find a fully-equipped kitchen/diner with everything you need to cook up a feast to enjoy with your loved one around the dining table or out in the furnished courtyard when the weather is warm. Then, as the evening winds down, sink into a steaming bath before catching your rest between the soft and freshly-washed linens of the double bed. Wake up bright and early the following morning and start off your day with a mouthwatering full English breakfast at The Wentworth Arms pub or head into the town centre and enjoy some freshly-baked pastries and coffee at The Patisserie Malton. You'll also find a handful of independent shops where you can buy decor and trinkets to take back home, baked goods, clothing and more. Make your way up to Flamingo Land Resort for some thrill-seeking rides and stroll through the zoo to see the animals. A scenic drive will lead you to the beautiful, ancient cathedral city of York where you'll be spoilt for choice of activities and places to see. Go to York's Chocolate Story for a history of chocolate and the city's confectioners, where you can try making your own truffles, The York Dungeon for a spooky ghost-house experience and after visiting the Yorkshire Museum, take a walk through the 19th-century Museum Gardens with its stunning Roman ruins. For a taste of nature, make your way to Howardian Hills National Landscape and take artful pictures in the stunning 60-acre farm of Yorkshire Lavender, visit the beautiful Yorkshire Arboretum with over 6000 trees and wildflower meadows, then end the day with a visit of the 18th-century Castle Howard and have a picnic in the pristinely-landscaped castle gardens.
