Once you're ready to explore Tenby, travel on foot to a nearby convenience store to stock up on the essentials, or dine out near the coastline, before enjoying a stroll along Tenby North Beach, a round of golf at the local golf club, a tour of the Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, or the chance to sightsee at Tenby Castle. Several family-friendly attractions are within driving distance, perfect to visit no matter the weather, with the Dinosaur Park, the Manor Wildlife Park, and Heatherton World of Activities a short car journey away. Be sure to visit Pembroke where you can brush up on your local knowledge at the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre, visit Pembroke Castle overlooking Mill Pond, or enjoy a stroll around the surrounding parkland, before heading back to the dock, lined with eateries and shops. Round off your getaway with a tour of the remains of Carmarthen Castle, a train ride upon the Gwili Steam Railway, or riverside strolls alongside River Towy, before returning home in time for supper.
