The region is steeped in history with sites such as Tintern Abbey, Dunbrody and Graiguenamanagh Abbey and Duncannon Fort military and maritime museum, ideal for finding out more about the region’s fascinating past. Jump in the car and head to Waterford in the west or Wexford in the east; both offer plenty to see and do for a day out and are a great introduction to the wonders of this stunning county.
