Mulroy Cottage, Downings

County Donegal. Sleeps up to 6

Downings 6.1 miles. Located in the popular region of County Donegal in Ireland, 6.1 miles from the popular tourist spot of Downings lies RG Cottage. Formerly an old farmhouse, you’ll find facilities to cater to the whole family including an enclosed garden with front lawn and off-road parking, RG’s Cottage is well situated for families who want to explore the beautiful coastal landscape. From the homeliness of the woodburning stove in the living/dining area, to the conservatory and large, irving sitting room you will be able to appreciate plenty of spaces to relax together. After a lovely meal cooked up in the kitchen, which offers an electric oven and hob, dine together and catch up on the day’s adventures at the dining table for six people. Upstairs there are three bedrooms including a king-size bed, a double and a triple bunk, as well as a bathroom with a bath and separate electric shower to help you wash off your activities from the day and prepare for a restful night. If you feel like heading out to explore the nearby area, you’ll find the pub within 5.8 miles and some shops and amenities 3.2 miles. For those who like great outdoors, why not try some walks or cycling routes around the Rosapenna Golf Pavillion or venture to The Glenveagh National Park for some walking in the forest, around the lake or around the historic castle? You could also extend your car journey to Letterkenny, one of the busiest towns in County Donegal packed with historic attractions such as its gothic style St Eunan’s Cathedral, Tropical World and Donegal County Museum. For those that like to get out into the wild, there’s breathtaking scenery to be found at Fanad Lighthouse or travel further afield to Malin Head, County Donegal’s most northerly point. Enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer and much more by staying at RG’s Cottage.
