Arriving at the property, you will find ample parking just outside, where you can unload your bags with ease. Be welcomed into the homely open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and sitting area, where you can look forward to cosying up in front of the open fire with a glass of wine and watch your favourite show. Treat your guests to a delicious home-cooked meal in the well-equipped kitchen, as they discuss plans for the days ahead around the dining table. When sleep calls, you can retire to one of two tastefully decorated bedrooms, the first being a light and airy double, and the other a spacious room with two double beds, where you can catch your rest before a day of adventures. Completing the property is the shower room, where you can freshen up for the day with a revitalising shower. Get to know your local area with a stroll down to the local village of Glencolumbkille, where you will find a small selection of shops and pubs serving local ale. Delve into the local history with a visit to the Glencolumbkille Folk Village, a living history museum which recreates a village complete with thatched cottages, and an onsite shop selling souvenirs. From the Folk Village you can soak up the scenery of Glencolumbkille Beach and beachcombe its sandy shores. Just a short drive away in the beautiful Adara are the Caves of Maghera, with its white beach, sandy dunes, and caves to explore, it is a truly splendid scenic spot. Nearby to the caves you will find Assaranca Waterfall, a peaceful spot where you can enjoy a romantic stroll with your loved one whilst enjoying the sounds of the water flowing. Walkers will delight at the Glen of Swans, a scenic valley with panoramic views and picnic tables where you can certainly enjoy lunch with a view. Just a little further is the town of Killybegs, where you can explore the town’s history at the Maritime & Heritage Museum or take a cruise with Atlantic Coastal Cruises and explore the waters where you may even spot dolphins! Whatever the weather, Teach Phaidí Mhóir promises an enjoyable stay right in the heart of Donegal.
