During the day, venture to Baleshare Beach, where you and your canine companion can stroll the white sand while admiring truly breath-taking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Avid anglers may want to explore the isle's freshwater fishing with permits available from North Uist Estate. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the island's wealth of walking activities, with the Hebridean Way nearby, as well as water sports such as kitesurfing, paddle boarding, wild swimming, kayaking, and even surfing, which is extremely popular at Hosta Beach. Those who want to see the unusual species that frequents North Uist can do so at the RSPB Nature Reserve at Balranald, or they can take part in the island tradition of boat journeys into the ocean to identify dolphins, orcas, porpoises, and otters!
