Chestnut Cottage, Fylingthorpe Whitby, North Yorkshire
Enjoying a superb position on the edge of the tiny village of Melmerby this cottage has fantastic views over the Dale. It is set in a quiet and peaceful position and has a small conservatory from which the views can be fully appreciated.
Comfortably furnished the cottage is adjacent to the owners’ former farmhouse and has been converted from old farm buildings. It retains a great deal of the original character with a wealth of exposed beams and feature stonework.
Melmerby itself is just over 3 miles from the traditional market town of Leyburn and is therefore an ideal base from which to explore the whole of the Yorkshire Dales. There are plenty of excellent walks from the cottage which cater for all levels, with open moors and country rambles available throughout Coverdale.
All on the ground floor (with some internal steps) – 2 bedrooms – 1 double and 1 twin, conservatory, lounge, bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and basin, 3 steps down to fitted dining kitchen. Note: If the cottages are rented together there is a separate dining room for 8 people which is included.
Wood burning stove in lounge - initial supply of logs provided. Full central heating – gas and electricity are included in the rent. Cot, high chair, colour T.V., DVD player, microwave, shaver point, shower, automatic washing machine and tumble dryer available through the owner. Bed linen and towels are included. Wi-Fi broadband. Patio with furniture and access to shared gardens. Ample parking. Pets by arrangement please. Note: This is a non smoking cottage.
