Only 8 miles away is the thriving market town of Dorchester, home to numerous restaurants, galleries, and other cultural attractions. Weymouth, a popular family-friendly seaside resort, and the Jurassic coast are close by, as is Portland, the dramatic setting for the Olympic sailing competition in 2012. It's a fantastic holiday resort all year round thanks to its proximity to the popular tourist destinations of Bournemouth and Poole, both of which can be reached in under an hour.

Located in Weymouth, this lodge is in a rural area and by the sea. Leighton Art Gallery and Weymouth Pavilion are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Abbotsbury Children's Farm and Abbotsbury Swannery. Bennetts Water Gardens and Pirate Adventure Mini Golf are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with sailing and fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking/biking trails and cycling.
