The property enjoys a splendid waterside position in one of the oldest streets of this picturesque village, surrounded by colour washed cottages and with the lifeboat station and slipway to the estuary just a few hundred yards away. Within a short walk of the quay and all the character pubs, restaurants, shops and art studios, that are scattered amongst the narrow cobbled streets of this ancient fishing village. Beautiful estuary views can be enjoyed from the quay across to the sandy beach at Instow, and fishing trips are readily available. The historic port of Bideford, surfing sands, golf course and horse riding at Westward Ho! and indoor leisure pool at Northam are all within five minutes drive.
This historic cottage has great charm and character and accommodation is comfortably furnished and well equipped with night storage and elec panel heating throughout. Three bedrooms - double with antique pine furnishings and magnificent sea views, single and compact 2nd floor loft conversion room with single bed, also with magnificent sea views. Ground floor bathroom/wc with elec shower and towel rail. Cosy living room with open fireplace (fuel available locally), TV, DVD and video. Fully fitted kitchen/ dining room with pine dresser and table, elec cooker, microwave, velux windows and French doors to patio. The well positioned walled and paved patio adjoins the estuary and therefore provides the perfect vantage point from which to observe the movement of craft and birdlife on the busy estuary waters, or enjoy sea fishing at high tide. Garden furniture and barbecue provided. Unrestricted roadside parking and car park 100m, with weekly permits available.
