This pretty cottage is built of stone from the local area. It lies in the village of Sleights which is about 4 miles inland from Whitby making it an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle but just a short journey away from the seaside resort. the cottage has been renovated to a high standard but retains many original features such as beamed ceilings, original wooden floorboards, deep set windows and a working fireplace yet it has all the modern comforts one needs.

Accommodation: gated drive and front garden. Entrance porch with flagstone floor. Cosy lounge with dining facilities, beamed ceiling and open fireplace. Modern, well-equipped kitchen. On the first floor are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, wardrobe and small chest of drawers and one with two single beds and small wardrobe. Also a stylish bathroom with roll top bath, separate shower, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail.  A backdoor leads to a small backyard with outhouse.

Services: refrigerator, separate freezer, electric cooker with oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher in porch, washer/dryer in outhouse. Freeview colour TV/DVD/Radio combi. Gas central heating. A good starter supply of coal/logs for the fire is provided. Further fuel for the fire can be purchased locally. Bed linen is provided, but please bring your own towels. There is a travel cot and (strap-on) high chair available upon request. Front garden is gated and safe for young children. There is a garden bench along with a small table and two chairs. Non-smokers only! Sorry, no pets. Parking for two cars in the drive.
