This charming detached 19th century stone-built cottage is located in the Esk valley in the pretty village of Egton Bridge. It has been lovingly refurbished to provide a delightful retreat with modern amenities. Situated in spectacular walking country within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the property is on the route of the Coast to Coast walk, 8 miles from the historic coastal town of Whitby, 4 miles from Goathland (Heartbeat's "Aidensfield") and 2 miles from the NYM Steam Railway at Grosmont: ideal for touring the many lovely seaside and moorland villages and market towns such as Pickering, Malton and Helmsley. Egton Bridge rail station and the local pub/restaurant are a 6 minute walk away, with a second pub across the stepping stones. Fishing is available by permit from Egton Estates. The famous Beggar's Bridge is at nearby Glaisdale.

Accommodation:
Entrance hallway: to the left the dining room has an open fire (coal and wood). Adjacent is the newly fitted, well-equipped kitchen. Off the interior hallway is a very spacious bedroom with a king-size bed, wardrobes and dressing table, as well as a bathroom with bath, separate shower, toilet and washbasin. To the right of the entrance is a very cosy lounge with large bay window overlooking a well manicured garden with perennials and lawns. Stairs lead to the first bedroom with a king-size bed, wardrobe, dressing table and  a set of drawers.

Services:
Fridge/freezer, ceramic hob, double ovens, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. All appliances are integrated. Dryer in outbuilding. New colour TV with basic SKY package. Heating by way of night storage heaters, electric heaters and open fire. A quantity of coal and wood are provided to get you started. Bed linen and towels are provided. Private parking for one or two cars on the road near the cottage. Non-smokers only. One, small, well-behaved dog is welcome. Garden surrounding the house (grapes in the greenhouse). Secluded patio with outdoor furniture. Cycles can be stored in the outbuilding. Garage access through a field but only when dry. The cottage is not suitable for small children.
