Located in the village of Llechfaen, four miles from Brecon, Penrheol Farmhouse is a spacious former farmhouse offering fantastic accommodation for families and groups of friends in the Brecon Beacons. Dating back to the 18th century, the farmhouse has been modernised and renovated to become a cosy and homely place to stay, while retaining its original charm. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway for up to nine guests, and stunning views to go with it, this could be the perfect spot for you!

The Space:
Penrheol Farmhouse is comfortably furnished with both antique and modern furnishings throughout. You’ll find oakwood parquet flooring and original artwork in all rooms when staying here.

The ground floor at the property is home to the living room and the kitchen diner.

The living room has a distinct look with a stone feature wall, log burning fireplace, a striped sofa, and three armchairs. Ideal for relaxing after a day in Llechfaen and the surrounding area, you can turn on the TV and enjoy your favourite shows on Freeview or on the streaming services available. There is also a DVD player if you’d like to bring your own DVDs to watch during your stay.

Perfectly combining modern and traditional in terms of style, the kitchen has light wooden cabinets and black granite worktops. Complemented with modern appliances, this space is clean, well equipped and welcoming. It is equipped with an oven, hob, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker so you’ll have everything you could need for your stay.

There is also a washing machine and dishwasher located just behind the kitchen so you can really make the most of your self-catering break.

The dining area includes a wooden dining table and matching dining chairs. Whether you’re planning your relaxing holiday with friends or family, there will be plenty of room for you to enjoy meals together at Penrheol Farmhouse.

Head upstairs to the first floor and you’ll find four bedrooms and the family bathroom.

The first bedroom has a neutral colour scheme with crisp white walls and plush bedding. You’ll enjoy your night's sleep in the comfortable king size bed as it boasts premium bedding. The space is complete with a light wooden chest of drawers and bedside lamps.

Penrheol Farmhouse is also home to a second king bedroom, along with a double, both of which with ample storage space. Both spacious in design, the spaces have a cosy feel. The king room is also home to an ensuite boasting a bathtub, separate shower, WC and wash basin.

Featuring three single beds, the final bedroom at Penrheol Farmhouse is ideal for children, teenagers or groups of friends. With a neutral colour scheme and sloped ceilings, the room feels light whilst maintaining its original design.

Head to the family bathroom and you’ll find a bathtub, handheld shower, basin and WC.

Outside you’ll find a paved eating area that is perfect for alfresco dining, which, in turn, leads out into a garden with a large lawn.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

Private on-site parking is available for three vehicles at Penrheol Farmhouse.

The Neighborhood:
Located in the pretty village of Llechfaen, Penrheol Farmhouse has plenty to offer right on your doorstep. Whether it’s hiking, cycling, bird watching or simply relaxing, Penrheol Farmhouse allows you to enjoy all of these activities.

The excellent Three Horseshoes Inn in nearby Groesffordd offers a tasty menu and a pleasant dining experience so this is well worth a visit.

The Brecon Beacons National Park is loved for its green open spaces which offer miles of stunning walking routes.

The bustling market town of Brecon is located just under four miles away from Llechfaen. Home to independent shops and cafés, plenty of history, military connections and a beautiful cathedral, Brecon has plenty to offer visitors.

Getting Around:
Penrheol Farmhouse is within a short driving distance of all that the Brecon Beacons National Park has to offer.

The nearest train station can be found in Ebbw Vale which is a 30 minute drive away and has routes to Cardiff and Newport, along with pretty towns and villages throughout the area.
