Love Shack by the Beach, Falmouth

Cornwall. Sleeps up to 6

My Love Shack (The Nook), is located directly opposite Maenporth Beach, near Falmouth in Cornwall.

A true Home from Home experience and one step up from camping.

Fully furnished but you MUST bring your own Bedding (Duvets, Pillows and Covers), Towels and Toiletries.

My family purchased The Nook and Cranny in August 2009. The Cranny has recently been replaced by The Beach House, which is located right next door.

I do have plans to replace The Nook in the future, with something a little more up to date, but I thought I'd let family and friends enjoy it first (and you of course). Sharing is caring right?

So here's your chance to experience this little gem and enjoy what I trust will be a memorable and enjoyable beach holiday in this magical location by the sea.

LOCATION, LOCATION......

The Nook is a step up from camping, with 3 bedrooms, open plan living/dining room, a full kitchen and a family bathroom, with mains pressure hot water shower - AND IT'S ON THE BEACH!!!

The Nook has an enclosed, level, child-friendly garden and a huge timber deck, both directly opposite the beach, with stunning views of Falmouth Bay, Pendennis Castle, St. Anthony's Lighthouse and further out to sea.

Both the garden and deck are shared with the owners of the adjacent Beach House, which is immediately next door and was completed in May 2019. It is not shown in all the pictures, so as to avoid any confusion or get you too excited.

Hey, you're getting a good deal but not that good!

SO WHY'S IT SO CHEAP?

Here's why it's such a great deal. It's likely cheaper than Camping or Glamping and probably cheaper than staying in a Surf Pod, Holiday Cottage, Apartment, Youth Hostel, Bed & Breakfast, Guest House or Hotel (especially if there are 6 of you staying).

You're going to be Camping/Self Catering, in an old timber Beach Shack (Cabin, Lodge, Bungalow).

You will need to take all your own bedding (including sheets, pillows, pillow cases, blankets, duvets, sleeping bags, etc) plus towels (including beach towels), shampoo, soap, shower gel, shaving stuff, toilet rolls and all personal items, food and drink you need and would expect to take if you were camping. You remember those days right?

Don't worry if you do forget something.

CO-OP is less than 2km away and only 4 minutes by car, on the way to Falmouth - Mongleath Ave, Falmouth TR11 4PN

POST OFFICE & STORE - Mawnan Smith is only 3 km away and 5 minutes by car - The Post Office, The Square, Mawnan Smith, Falmouth TR11 5EP

ASDA, LIDL, SAINSBURYS and Falmouth Town are only 6km away and 10 minutes by car.

ASDA - Jennings Rd, Penryn TR10 9LY

LIDL - Falmouth Rd, Falmouth TR10 8AB
SAINSBURYS - Ashfield Rd, Falmouth TR11 2RZ

DINING OUT

The Award Winning Cove Restaurant and Bar is less than 100m from your doorstep, with stunning views from the large terrace overlooking Maenporth Beach and Falmouth Bay.

There's also a cafe, restaurant and at least 1 decent Pub in Mawnan Smith, plus some fantastic waterside pubs, hotels and restaurants less than 10 minutes away by car.

SELF CATERING FACILITIES

There is basic cooking equipment (oven & hob), kitchen utensils and washing facilities, including a washing machine and maybe even a tumble dryer. Please look after them and do not overload them or leave them turned on when not in use.

The Air Conditioning units may even be working when you're there but it's not guaranteed (due to the seaside climate). Again, please don't leave them on when not required or when you're out.

The Nook is by the sea and you may experience 'Cornish Mist' and the occasional chilly Sea Breeze. You WILL get condensation on windows from time to time. The trick is to keep the place well ventilated as much as possible and just wipe the windows now and then, mopping up any condensation from windows and sills. Do NOT leave books, phones, tablets, laptops, cameras and other valuables on window sills or by the windows. They could get damp and I can accept no responsibility for any damage to your personal belongings. You have been warned.

The price you pay includes electric and water (there's no gas) and there will be no refunds whatsoever - especially if things don't work properly (Phone Signal, Air Con or WIFI) - or if it rains!

Remember, you're Camping in an old timber shack by the sea!!! But at least you're not in a tent ;-)

Our family love this place and I'm sure you will too.

We still visit and stay in The Nook now and again, so we'd really appreciate it if you would look after our little timber Love Shack by the beach and leave it clean and tidy when you go home.

We operate a 'Clean and Go' Policy, so you will not be charged a Cleaning Fee. A Hoover and Cleaning Products will be provided and a £150 deposit will be returned if you leave our home clean and tidy and no damage has been caused during your stay.

That means no skid marks in the loo and no toothpaste, food, fat and hair in basins and plug holes please.

AND FINALLY

Please sign and leave comments in my Guest Book before you go and make sure you leave the keys for our next guests.

Have fun and I truly hope you have an amazing and memorable stay in my Love Shack by the beach.....
