Newton on the Moor is nestled between the Cheviot Hills and the stunning heritage coast close to the A1 so ideally located for exploring all of Northumberland and beyond. Alnwick is only 4 miles with the majestic castle featured in Harry Potter, cobbled streets and lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Fishing is nearby at Swarland and Thrunton with Horse Riding only 4 miles. Head North up to Bamburgh with the cliff top castle used in many films or onto Holy Island steeped in history, or perhaps a trip inland over the national park to Kielder water or Hadrian’s Wall. The location of the Cooperage makes it so easy to travel and explore all of this super friendly county where you will be assured of a true Geordie welcome.

Lilidorei at The Alnwick Garden and Eshott Heugh Animal Park are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with horse riding.
