If you’re looking for a getaway in the centre of Alnwick, look no further than The Burrow! Originally built in the 1800s, this stylish apartment is in the historic part of Alnwick called the Castle Quarter. Sleeping four guests, it’s perfect for family holidays and staycations with friends. Close to a busy pub and just a short walk from the many shops, restaurants and cafes, you’ll be ideally placed to enjoy everything Alnwick has to offer. You’ll also have incredible views of the castle which is next door to the property!

The Space:
Take the spiral staircase into The Burrow and enter the spacious open plan kitchen, living and dining area. Featuring an exposed brick wall and traditional beams, the space has plenty of character. The perfect place to relax during your stay, you can unwind on the comfy sofas and enjoy quality time with your loved ones. The kitchen is a striking blue shade and features a Belfast sink and modern appliances so you can prepare meals easily. Ideal for socialising, the dining area includes a large wooden table, a matching bench and four chairs.

The apartment boasts two tranquil bedrooms. The master bedroom features a comfortable double bed with plush bedding and premium bed linens to ensure you have the best sleep possible. Perfect for children and teenagers, the second bedroom has single bunk beds.

Head to the family bathroom and you’ll find a large walk in shower, WC and basin. Featuring a clash of printed tiles and a statement yellow cupboard door, this space is quirky and stylish.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

The upper floor of the property is accessed via a spiral staircase which may not be suitable for small children or those with mobility issues.

There is on street, private parking available at the rear of the property on a first come, first served basis. Please note these spaces are not guaranteed. There is additional free parking nearby in a public car park.

Please note The Burrows is located next to a pub so it can get noisy particularly on Saturday nights.

The Neighborhood:
The Burrow is located in the charming medieval market town of Alnwick. With cobbled streets lined with independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, the town has charisma and personality in abundance. The Burrow is a short 5-minute walk from the entrance of Alnwick Garden where you’ll find 12 acres of magnificent gardens and the world’s largest treehouse restaurant.

Getting Around:
The closest train station is Alnmouth, which is roughly a 10-minute drive from the property so local towns in Northumberland can easily be reached via rail.

There are a number of bus stops throughout Alnwick and the main bus station is just 5-minute walk from The Burrow. Hop on the X20 which takes you through to Newcastle with stops in beautiful areas of Northumberland like Alnmouth and Amble. The X18 route travels between Newcastle and Berwick upon Tweed with stops in Morpeth, Amble and Seahorses.

This apartment is located in Alnwick. Alnwick Playhouse and Bailiffgate Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Alnwick Castle and Edlingham Castle. Lilidorei at The Alnwick Garden and Eshott Heugh Animal Park are also worth visiting.
