LOCATION
Riverview is located in the peaceful coastal town of Monifieth, around seven miles from Dundee and five miles from Carnoustie. Situated on the east coast of Scotland, the area dates back to the 9th Century, and proudly boasts of being one of the sunniest towns in the country!

Between Monifieth and neighbouring Broughty Ferry are food shops, cafes and boutiques, plus a picturesque harbour and walks along the shoreline. The sea front includes children’s playparks as well as sandy beaches and if you’re lucky you might spot seals and dolphins.
The striking Broughty Castle is well worth a visit. Dating back to 1490, it originally protected the Tay estuary, and now houses a museum which explains the history of this pretty fishing village.

The local station connects through Dundee to the Scottish mainline stations of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. You are also close to the main trunk road network making for straightforward travel. Regular buses from your door also take you into Dundee, returning on the next street, and the nearby National Cycle Network Route 1 gives access to coastal cycling and walking routes.

Dundee itself has been transformed in recent years into a lively and cosmopolitan coastal city. Choose from the waterfront development with the V&A Dundee museum, historic ships and urban beach or the city centre shopping areas, theatre and museums.
The area is surrounded by beautiful countryside which will delight walkers and cyclists, is close to Angus and Fife beaches, and world-famous golf courses, including St Andrews and Carnoustie.
