Town: Edmundbyers is a traditional village situated south of the River Derwent, in the foothills of The North Pennines. From the village of Edmundbyers there are plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, golfing, sailing, fishing and simply appreciating the quiet natural beauty. Only four miles away is the delightful village of Blanchland. Dating back to 1165, Blanchland is reputed to be one of the prettiest villages in England, famous for being the film location for many of the Catherine Cookson novels.

Located in Consett, this cottage is in a rural area. Killhope Lead Mining Museum and Gibside are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at De Vere Slaley Hall Golf Course and Stocksfield Golf Club. Traveling with kids? Consider Hall Hill Farm, or check out an event or a game at Northumbria Gliding Club. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and cycling nearby.
