Only four miles away is the delightful village of Blanchland. Dating back to 1165, Blanchland is reputed to be one of the prettiest villages in England, famous for being the film location for many of the Catherine Cookson novels.
Located in Consett, this cottage is in a rural area. Killhope Lead Mining Museum and Gibside are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at De Vere Slaley Hall Golf Course and Stocksfield Golf Club. Traveling with kids?
