Situated in Weardale in the heart of the stunning Durham Dales, this lovely cottage is just a couple of miles from the pretty village of Wolsingham. Only twelve miles away is the historic and vibrant city of Durham with its famous cathedral and excellent shopping and leisure opportunities. The glorious North Pennines are nearby, offering stunning landscapes, heather covered moors, rugged peat lands and magical hay meadows, making them a perfect destination for walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers. Staying on the farm, guests can explore the farmland and see the farm animals including cattle and sheep. There are 100 acres of farmland to explore, including a nature trail, playing field, riverside paths, ancient monument and a medieval moat. On entering this delightful single floor cottage you will find yourself in the cosy and spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The welcoming and snug lounge is ideal for relaxing in, complete with TV/DVD and a single sofa bed for additional sleeping. The dining area is nicely situated, and you will find the attractive kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. Exploring this lovely property further, you will find a comfy double bedroom. There is also a bathroom with shower over bath, complete with WC. Stepping outside, you can sit back and relax in a seating area, or you can explore the on site facilities, including a farm shop and cafe which are within easy walking distance. You will also find a games room which is shared with the other properties where you can play air hockey, table football or table tennis. You re invited to see the farm animals and explore the farmland. You will also find a shared utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
