Outside is a garden with furniture and BBQ, while the local pub is just a 10 minute stroll away. Both the Dales and the southern Lakes can be easily reached, as can the town of Kendal.

The walking in this area is superb, including limestone escarpments offering gentle walks and thrilling views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills and Morecambe Bay.
